PAYMENT POLICY

PAYMENT

*A deposit of 30% of the total (including tax and cleaning fee) will be charged by credit card at the time of booking, and the balance will be charged 30 days before check-in. Rates are in Japanese Yen. Total amount includes all utilities, rates, taxes and charges associated with the use and occupancy of the property. There must be no damage to the property, key must be left in the key lockbox, and no items should be missing. Replacement or repair of missing or damaged items will be charged to the occupant.


TAX 

*Kyoto accommodation tax is ¥200 per night per person when the nightly rate is less than ¥20,000 per night per person. Tax rate increases to ¥500 per night per person when the nightly rate is ¥20,000 or more per night per person...in the latter case, we'll adjust this manually at the time of confirmation and send notification to the guest.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made at least 30 days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made less than 30 days of the arrival date, will result in forfeiture of payment, unless we are able to find another party to take the period you have reserved and wish to cancel. In case cancellation is directly related to government restrictions on travel to Japan, payment will be refunded in full, at any time. Refunds will be applied to the credit card used for the original payment. If refund is applied more than six months after the date of the original payment, refund will be made by wire transfer, with the bank fee paid by the guest.
